So how many of you hardcore Smash players are going to buy into Amiibo? Will you stick to the one favourite character, or buy multiple figurines. I am sold on the basis that Amiibo will be used for multiple games, and it is something my young daughter and i can get into together

Not going to buy a single one. I'm way too old for playing with figurines and even my daughter isn't into it.

I'm really just going to buy a couple for display. I've always wanted some good quality Nintendo figurines, so anything they add to games is purely a bonus :)

I'm not buying them for Smash. Personnally I thing the way they are used for smash sucks. I have a hard time to see the appeal of the concept, maybe I did'nt quite understand the mechanic. And If I think the use for them for Smash sucks, I think other uses for other games won't be better.

So I'm not buying them for Smash, I'm buying them because they look great and the Nintendo fanboy in me want these figurines sitting on my desk or night table. So I'm buying them for the looks, but since I'll get them anyways, I might aswell use Pikachu(my main) on smash.

Yup definitely! I'm planning to buy 5 of them at release, maybe a few more later on.

I will, at most, buy 2 cause I dont feel like spending buck loads of money buying each figure
