Nope. At least, not until now.
I've never really gotten into VNs, though. Only their anime adaptations.

What's Key putting out now? I'm curious, since they got me hooked for a time, but broke their streak with Angel Beats!

I'm really into anime any longer. I've tried to watch some recent stuff that's bored me, so I'm just generalizing.
*edit* I'm a Gundam fan and the newest stuff I've watched is crap compared to the classic stuff, so after a couple of episodes I was done. I've watched some other popular stuff or recommended stuff to try and get into, but yeah, not that great.
But asking me about who makes what. I can't tell. I'd just watch the shows. Developer doesn't matter to me.
Nitroplus is a sure value, even though I'm not the biggest fan of their works.
Kinda stupid that MS bought exclusivity on this one, pretty much no western fans will care about the game now, and japanese fans are probably already their stein gate boxes out of rage

Actually, most anime that comes out nowdays isn't original and tells the same story with different characters without being interesting. Western movies are just as unoriginal, but atleast the decent ones are good enough to immediately catch your interest. |
Anime is standardized, you should go mango.
Also what do you think of western VNs ?

It looks pretty decent, actually. I might pick it up one day if it ever become localized.

Unless you count Indigo Prophecy or Heavy Rain, I haven't played any. Except for indie games, are any even available?
Or are you talking about games that have been released to the west that are Japanese?
*edit*
Indigo Prophecy and Heavy Rain were good though. Although Indigio Prophecy really started to suck at the very end with the plot twist they added.

Timed exclusive, though.
Isn't it nearly always the case with XB1-exclusive games?

I don't know indigo prophecy and I'm not a fan of David Cage. Maybe TellTales is the closest we can get to a western styled VN, but I'm talking about japanese style VN done by western indies.
Katawa Shoujo was awesome for example (and it's free =D). Also the "newest" japanese VN i played is Lonely Yuri and it's from 2011, so I can't really tell if it's gettting worse there on. What I'm pretty sure of, though, is that VNs are a medium way cheaper than anime, so it doesn't need to as standardized.
Which is why Nitroplus can do these sci-fi VNs when anime has a really hard time finding lower budgets sci-fi shows. Lately good sci-fi animes are either an IG production every 3 years or Gundam.
