You know man, I kinda think handheld gaming is not as cool as the real thing. I love to play Lone Survivor on PS3, but not on Vita, loved Persona 3 on PS3, but not on Vita. Same thing with Scriblenauts: love on WiiU but did not enjoy it on 3DS (DS game, but I played on it).
So I am with you on that: I think the console version is better.

After all, she is almost a Ellie sandwich.

There is a point that can be made. Revelations was a game structured to work with 2 screens touch+gyro for the scan. The other part is that the game is divided in small size bite chapters with story so far cinematics directed at short bursts of play.
Despite the added content bits and textures, its a game that is designed and better played on a portable, as opposed to a console wich is more suited for long sessions of play. I would say Wii U as the second choice, and the remaining versions afterwards. Taking all this in atention, it is understandable that people are dissatisfied with the lack of 3DS and Wii U versions.
Breathe easy and chillax. ;)
The obvious conclusion is that the game is gonna be designed differently this time around. I expect it to be closer to RE6 in terms of fidelity and gameplay with more action (more enemies on screen at once) but hopefully keeping the classic suivival horror feel from revelations and the original games. I wish they got rid of the partner system though.

You're either trolling or you didn't read what I said properly. I didn't say the 3DS version is better. I said it received better reviews compared to the console ports.

I'll bite because I have nothing better to do, although your "A gem on a handheld is average on a console" statement already tells me the type of arguments you'll throw at me.
Let's see: You're saying that the console ports received better reviews than the handheld version?
Because I have 4 Metacritic scores that say otherwise.
Again, I'm not saying the 3DS version is better, (I never even said I like the 3DS version better, but sure, go ahead and put words in my mouth) I'm saying the 3DS version scored better in reviews than the console ports.
Which version is "better" is highly subjective and can be debated. Whether one version got better numbers than the others in reviews isn't.
