You have to put !important at the end of every CSS line or else it won't show.
Did you add stuff to the previous post or did you only quote padib?

I quoted padib and removed the nested quote with wright's double commentary and padib's underlined commentary.

Oh nevermind I left it in after all.
I was trying to highlight the first part in red. This was said toDay

Yeah doesn't sound like someone who knows he's been attacked by Wright.

This is my theory since prof insists on me telling it. It might have holes because I've not been able to search for everything properly. If you think something is contradictory, or you simply think this has no basic whatsoever, tell me.
Alright, here goes:
Padib wants the nuke to detonate.
I still don't understand Padib's actions for ToDay. But something is clear, Padib has claimed dozens of times that if the nuke detonates, he won't die.
Maybe his win condition a) can be achieved with the nuke blowing up in our faces b) has something to do with the nuke exploding.
Actions of Padib have been strange. He first claimed an EMP attack. Then he came and started arguing with me about some thoughts I've given, which also made him vote for my lynch when I had placed him as nuker placeholder.
When I explained him that he was nuker placeholder no more, he felt more confident. Then he unvoted me, and went and voted prof for lynching. Then he switched again, and choosed Eric.
Then, finally, he announced "the bomb" (heh): I'm the nuker. Unvoted Eric, went back to me again.
This pattern makes no sense whatsoever. If he knew right from the beginning who was the culprit, why wait a bit of time? Unless his power has some cooldown or something. Still;
he didn't say the nuker name when he first claimed. He wanted to gather some thoughts from the other users. Why he did this, I can not comprehend.
So now he wants me to be lynched, claiming that I'm the nuker.
Let's rewind a bit, shall we? I confronted theprof ToDay because he seemed to brag about a power extremely similar to one I also have. When Truck asked me about the nature of the power, I revealed my character and his skill.
Later, prof was confronted due to the fact that he share a similar power, yet we don't know what the heck his character is. Alright, let's give prof a vote of confidence here and let's say Prof has also the ability to detect cloaking people.
Padib's plan starts going into motion (still, can't understand why he'd vote Eric.). He announces he has catched the criminal. A bit of time later when he has thought of everything, he points at me.
Padib wants me lynched, and prof dead. That much is clear if you look back at how ToDay has gone through. Let's assume something, then. Let's assume both me and prof say the truth, and we're both people with the skill of detecting cloaking people.
Padib want the people who can identify the potential nuker dead. If I am lynched, and prof is killed ToNight, Town is completely blind for the fourth and final day.
You'll probably say: "But if he did something as dumb as that, once we uncover that you were telling the truth we'll lynch him on Day 4."
If Padib is lying, and both me and prof die, lynching Padib on day 4 would mean Game Over.
He's not a Ghost.
Meaning, Town would have to try and catch someone without any kind of clue. Remove prof and me from the equation, you still have too many options for just jumping in black to a choice.
Padib is taking advantage of two things:
a) The fact that we're at Day 3. Prof and me could scan two people ToNight, which is better than nothing might I add. But kill us, and you've got nothing for Day 4.
b) The fact that he can't die from the nuke. He himself admitted it. So while he also has some kind of invincity power (haven't read much on this, so I might be mistaken here), he's safe for both Night 3, Day 4 (read above) and Night 4.
There's also something I've read from Padib which wasn't very clear. His attacks. He claimed that, in case I wasn't lynched Day 3, he would do whatever he could to kill me Night 3, "but he might not be able to completely kill me because I'm a Ghost". Yet he also said something interesting to prof today:
padib said: To be honest, when Wright will flip nuke, we will want prof immediately dead. We don't know what he is capable of at Night and what unit he will harm, so it would be best to ensure he doesn't harm any Town A units. If he attacks me, I will retaliate. If he attacks another unit, I will kill him in the process. Hopefully I can spare a town death by doing so. |
Meaning, Padib's "attack" isn't really an attack. More like a countermeasure. He can't attack Prof directly, or he would have stated something as such. Instead, he said "if he attacks me [...] if he attacks another unit [...]" for his power to trigger.
If I am not lynched ToDay, Padib wants a backup plan. He would go to Day 4 and claim that he attacked me, but wasn't able to kill me because I'm the Ghost and blablabla.
Padib cannot attack me. He was bullshiting when he said he would do whatever he could to destroy me in case I wasn't lynched. Unless throwing Detector at someone makes his character retaliate (now this would be extremely awkward). Why lie about something like that, then? Why not just ask for scum to kill me?
Because he wants to cover his back unless I'm not killed ToDay.
This is my theory.
Your theory makes a lot of sense. Nuker or not, the quickest way to a win for padib is having us all killed by the blast.

Good theory Wright.
There's something I'd like to add.
I believe Padib knows who the nuke is, like, he REALLY knows who the nuke is, and it's not you. He's trying to lynch you and kill me to delay us from killing the nuker. Perhaps his win condition is simply that the nuke goes off.

http://wiki.mafiascum.net/index.php?title=Traitor
Highlights
"On occasion the Traitor is only told who one of the scum is. "
"The Traitor may give negative results to Cops (that is, they show up like Townies would). This hearkens back to the earliest interpretation of the Traitor, called the Mafia Spy"
"Other times, the Traitor is immune to kills from their Mafia (in which case if the Mafia tries to kill them there is no kill that Night). Still other times, if the Mafia attempts to kill their Traitor the Traitor is instead recruited into the Mafia, allowing it to talk to the rest of the faction and perform the factional kill. All of these have been seen regularly."
"Some Traitors, particularly those that cannot be recruited into the main faction, are compensated by being granted extra powers."
"Traitors are used to provide "half-Mafia" in games where they are having a hard time deciding whether they want to include an additional Mafioso. They can also be used simply to give scum someone to look out for in single-faction games. Their power depends on what combination of the above variations is employed and how quickly the scum find their Traitor. If the Mafia know who their Traitor is, they arguably have gained another member, even if they can't speak to them. "
"If the scum know that there is a Traitor in the game, it should not be difficult for the Traitor to distinguish themselves to the scum. Just do something outrageously scummy or eye-catching for them. ;)
Because the Traitor cannot perform the Night-kill and may lose if the main scum die, the "bad Townie" strategy may be a good one to consider. Try fakeclaiming an incriminating result on some random Townie in order to score a free mislynch. "
padib being an Infested Terran, thus its fair to assume a Zerg unit, would also fit in with him wanting the nuke to go off; killing a large group of an opposing faction.
