Awesome! Sony knows how to troll properly (i.e. without pissing off your publisher partners and violating trademarks).

Yeah.... because Sony would never do that!

Oh wait, they did! http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=189786

To be honest, Sony was right to criticize EA Access. Success of it could lead to a trend that won't sit well with consumers. And so far, the service is not doing so well either after an underwhelming launch.

To be honest, you have no idea about the future. Where are you seeing it was a underwhelming launch?

Didn't Sony start this whole "get digital games with a subscription" thing on consoles? I wouldn't be surprised if EA said they were inspired by the success of PS+.

They did but to be fair to them they control it and as a console manufacturer, control of content is very important, and can pick content from any company. An EA system means just EA games, then if Ubisoft like it,... etc etc. I can see why EA did it, but it wont on the whole be good for consumers (unless you like those companies games and paying each company a subscription... but thats a different discussion).

Pure SONY...........................

Stuff like that and false claims is a norm for them.

Is that really necessary? Especially since both MS and Sony have welcomed each other's launches. -_-

lol I did not follow games back then. Just seen the pics.

I hope now you reckon it's also the norm for MS.

Comparing this stunt to the comments made about EA are two totally different subjects.

Sony (rightly) criticized EA for trying to make their own subscription plan WITHIN Microsoft's ecosystem, which Sony wasn't about to permit. (it would be like opeing a "store within a store" in a retail shop...the owner of the retail shop has EVERY right to reject that concept!).

Microsoft, on the other hand, violated the trademarks of TWO companies (Activision owns the Destiny name as it pertains to video games, Marilyn Miglin owns the Destiny name for perfume) in an underhanded ploy to counter the advertising blitz that Sony has with the game.

It should also be noted that Sony is not as reliant on EA to sell consoles as Microsoft is to Activision...They NEED Call of Duty to move hardware this fall.  If EA gets in a twist about Sony's (accurate) comments, Sony isn't going to care if EA pulls their games from their consoles...Microsoft WILL care if Activision decides not to publish on Xbox, though.

That's not the point though, the point is you were being negative for no reason.

He(?) had a reason. Sony did something, therefore I must make a negative post about it. He's(?) very consistent and reliable like that, quite admirable in a way. In fact it makes reading through Sony threads quite efficient: see the WhiteEagle avatar pic --> skip and read as "Boo! Sony is bad" --> on to next post.

I'm confused.

Where's the line?

Nevermind. >_<

Ass said before, completly diferent things.

But a question, Would you prefer paying sony one fee to have all the games from any company? Or pay every individual company a fee to play all the gamez? Sony did right in saying what they did, even if it was a question and they had no choice but to answer. People stading up to malpractice is what got the xbox one drm thing cancelled, its what got no more used games cancelled, so I'm  glad sony said no to EA to prevent another evil in the video gme world from rising.

Yeah, it's starting to get a PS1/PS2 era feel to it again. I really thought the PS3 humbled them for good too.
