Forums - Gaming - Assassin’s Creed: Rogue New Gameplay Trailer

i played until brotherhood, and i own revelations but never played it.... (and the more AC games pop up the less i want to play it...) i see no point in following this franchise anymore because im not willing to buy a game of the same franchise every year just to keep up with the story, heck now its TWO games a year... (or at least this year)

and that saddens me because i was extremely HYPED when the first trailer for the first AC game came out, and i knew it was gonna be a great franchise before i even played it, but it became something that i dont want to follow anymore.

i dont care if a franchise has a ton of sequels as long as they are spaced out in time like Metal Gear Solid or GTA.

The same thing every year, and people keep supporting this.

Yep it is the exact same. Same setting, same characters, same story, same gameplay mechanics, same game name, same box art.

Oh wait, actually that is all different! :O

Ok, enjoy it.

Why do u do this ubisoft: 2 awesome AC games in one year... I was hoping to skip this one but after watching this trailer I've realised I must buy this as well.

Now the dilemma arises : buy it on Ps3 or risk waiting for a Ps4 edition :/

Btw seems like we'll be fighting the French in this game as well, between this and Unity we'd be be killing quite a few unfortunate French soldiers :(

I got to say Ubisoft drives a hard bargain this year with this franchise.

After the first I found every game to be too uninteresting to try, but Unity and now this one both look good. I like how they seem to shake things up finally. I think I prefer Unity over Rogue by the looks of it though. It's also interesting to compare the two graphics-wise. Rogue looks pretty great, but Unity is obviously superior.

Well.  The gameplay is the same.  I think that's all that matters because the storylines aren't that entertaining imo.

Also, are there any games without the present day/past day crap yet?  Something that's only the assassin and not some lame character in the future.

Wait a minute, it looks same Black Flag & possibly AC 3 sailing boat stuff.

Imagine Ubisoft would release 3 games collection & call it "Sailor" Edition.

I think Unity is far more interesting, first assassin's creed really trying to make something deeper and come back to origins, what should have been AC since the beginning : Hitman + Prince Of Persia
I wasnt interested in AC anymore since the second game, but Unity seems to fix the flaws of the first one with real stealth, that could be really good.

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

Not yet unfortunately, although I am a big AC fan I still think the writing is a bit weak, however in the historical sequences the lead can carry the narritive in a passable manner, especially in the case of Ezio Auditore and Edward Kenway, not so much in the case of Connor. The modern day sequences however are abysmal, although there is some potential, its treated a bit too much like a sideshow.

But the historical open world makes it up for me however. Its moments like when you climb up on the cross on the church of the holy sepulchre and look upon jerusalem or when you gaze upon Hagia Sophia from atop of one its minarets you realise that there is no other series like it.

OT: looks nice, but then Ubi trailers always do. I'll probably skip this and get Unity or the one comming next year depending on how many other games i'll have to play.

Apparently they are going to be releasing AC3, AC4, and AC Liberation HD in one collection called The American Saga instead, later this year. It was leaked by some retailers.

Oh, right.

I bet AC Liberation HD is a redeem code included.
