Not yet unfortunately, although I am a big AC fan I still think the writing is a bit weak, however in the historical sequences the lead can carry the narritive in a passable manner, especially in the case of Ezio Auditore and Edward Kenway, not so much in the case of Connor. The modern day sequences however are abysmal, although there is some potential, its treated a bit too much like a sideshow.
But the historical open world makes it up for me however. Its moments like when you climb up on the cross on the church of the holy sepulchre and look upon jerusalem or when you gaze upon Hagia Sophia from atop of one its minarets you realise that there is no other series like it.
