So people are jumping on Microsoft based on a shitty rumor?

Think because the title has the word Rumour. 

I saw the title... and I'm not quite sure what part of it is rumour (maybe the interpretation of why it was mocking)... anyway since the guy just entered the thread I was curious to know what part of it he thinks is rumour.

This is quite funny, but not for the intended purpose. It is yet another failed move by MS to create buzz for their system that only results in negativity (and rightfully so.) This basically is MS saying that when it comes to exclusive advertising deals, their shit don't stink. Of course, core gamers know the truth. Not only does MS's shit actually stink when it comes to these types of deals, they took the dump first AND their pile is 10x as high. Priceless really.

And Sony's only response will be the big gap between both versions of the games and the huge boost the game will be for PS4 sales.

Lets be fair, buying the rights to give the illusion that a game is exclusive... that's lame and kind of pathetic. I know Microsoft does it too, and it's just as lame when they do it but it is, infact, lame. It's not like Sony was playing on level ground here to begin with. So, imo, the fact that MS did this is totally fair game. One company cheated, the other cheated back. I have no issue with it.

Attach rates decide who the true winner is. If the PS4 version sells more copies because it has a higher user base but the Xbone version has a higher attach rate, that's more impressive for Xbone. 

Apples to apples and so forth. 

Sony will make massively more money from Destiny than MS will, in both SW and HW sales.  Apples to apples, you know.
