Which will die first?

I wouldn't be surprised if which ever company drops their silly policy first will lock in 2nd place for the year, maybe even the generation.

Parity Clause makes it harder for a game studio to want to make games for a company.

Region Locking effects a relatively small userbase that would import games. Still doesn't mean it suck any less.

I'd say Parity Clause is worse and more likely to be dropped.

Parity clause will die first. No offense to Nintendo, but Microsoft seems more willing to adapt. Also, less people care and are affected by region locking.

Region locking will never be dropped. Not enough people care.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

As long as Nintendo is around, there will be region locking. I mean, it actually got worse over time with them bringing region locking to their handhelds. So why would they drop it all of a sudden?

As for the parity clause, Microsoft won't have a chance to keep that in the future or else they just will lose many games.

Parity clause.
I doubt that many people care about region locking, so that will die first.

There may be hope for future platforms, but Nintendo certainly isn't going to patch region locking out of their current systems.

I can actually understand parity clause, kind of. But I can't understand region locking. A sale is a sale right? So who cares if I buy a game in the USA to bring back home? Everyone still gets their money, well except for the retailer back here, but since when has that mattered?

The only other possible issue region free brings is foreign markets limiting shipments to the actual country it's launching in.  But really this only effects online sellers, and again importer numbers are quite low.
