Forums - Gaming - The Tomorrow Children : How Mark Cerny influenced the game

Hmmm... can't imagine myself playing both this and No Man's Sky at the same time. Both sound like they'll take up way too much of my time.

Every game ever was influenced by Cerny. It's common knowledge that you have to have a poster of Cerny on your wall before you're even able to start programming a game.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Yep, that's the difference between those who praise Cerny and make great games ( Rime, Wild, TC, NMS, Ori,... ) and those who dont ( Angry Bird,... )

I once dared Michael Bay to make a movie without explosions. It hasn't yet happened, but if it does you can thank me.

I seem to recall there was at least one explosion there. Still very good (or bad) for Michael Bay standards. So Michael, you don't get a pass yet.
