If you actually read the topic, you'd know what the point of that comment was and why it is actually relevant to this discussion. (Hint, discussion about this takes up pages 2-5.) Have a nice day. |
I actually read the topic. What implies I did not? You're bringing a non-point to the discussion. I assume it's only because you can't accept what the OP puts forward.

It is over hyped and so is X1...
Quantity is not a statement of quality...
Qunatity is also not a statement about new and original or innovative content...
If you go through the lists and kill all games that have shipped on other platforms... Both the PS4 and the X1 look very thin. I cannot believe how gamers this generation are falling for the Recycling Generation.
I have gamed in all 8 generations. To date, this is the most disappointing generation so far outside of maybe the third generation. I can't believe how well all three consoles are selling. Wii U, X1, and PS4 deserve to be at one third the levels they are at today... Gaming would've died long ago had other genreations followed the path of this one...

Then you obviously didn't read because "the non-point" was part of a multi-page discussion, one that had everything to do with this topic and the list therein.

X1 certainly was overhyped, but not so much for the PS4. Remember, people purchase consoles of their choice as a long term investment. You never see anyone purchase a system for just one game. This is especially true after SCEJA's pre-TGS conference. The PS4's already-very-good 2015 lineup became even better and Sony has another pre-TGS conference on the 17th. Shinobi confirmed that there will be new announcements from both 1st and 3rd parties.
Early adoption is always a gamble. However, many consumers had a lot of confidence in the PS4 and their gamble is paying off, in my opinion.

No, I did read. You didn't come to an agreement. It seemed like you were only arguing for the sake of arguing. Go play your famicom if you so wish, however this discussion is about PS4 and XB1.

I like how having less games is now a good thing.

because of one man's preference? PS4 matches Xbone blow for blow on retail games and we all know who supports their systems more long-term. Hell the only reason PS4 isn't super far ahead on that front is instead of taking the Ryse/Dead Rising 3 route they decided to release TLoU, Puppeteer, Beyond 2 Souls, and GoW Ascension on PS3 in its last year while MS just didn't release anything on 360 and ported them to the One to beef up the retail releases. And even then it's STILL a virtual tie.
