I stopped reading after "gimmick."

What a stupid thing to say, gimmick was like the last word in the paragraph, lol.

Yeah, i nearly shit my pants when i read it. Soriku wins the thread. @Topic: It's a slow time of the year with no big releases. After the sales start go up in general, or sales start to stabilize with a decent flow of games, we'll see how the demand ends up. I'd love to say, that people are waiting for No More Heroes, but sadly the game isn't big enough to be a system seller.

Ei Kiinasti.

Eikä Japanisti.

Vaan pannaan jalalla koreasti.

Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.

When you say "slowing down" do you really mean "selling more, just not as fast"?

Because when looking at the sales table, it averages about 30k a week, except for this week, which is sold 26k, about 7k more than the PS3 and 9k more than the 360.

It's after the holiday season and supply should be picking up. Not selling out anymore doesn't automatically spell disaster. If it did, then the PS3 and 360... and just about everything single retail item... would be in major trouble.

If a console not being sold out is a sign of a gimmick then the 360 and PS3 are in a world of hurt.

I do not believe a word you say. I found statements like this in your post history.

How much will the Wii franchise sell?

i dont think it will reach that muchm the wii is a fad , it will wear off, there is only so many types of games they can do, give it 4 more years and it will be gone at about 60 million, a few of my mates have sold theres in the last few months cause there bored of them

Different thread, I know... but what exactly do you mean when you say that bolded statement?  Can the Wii only do a limited number of games because it has motion controls? Could the PS2 (or any console for that matter) only do a limited number of types of games (when you say "so many types of games" I assume you mean limited number) because it only had buttons?

And by the end of this  year it'll probably be at 40 million, if not more, so over the next 3 years you expect it to sell only another 20 million?

the way its designed, im going off what my mates have said about it, they all say its good for wii sports but other games just didnt go well on it, i dont see why someone would get COD4 for wii when graphics and personally i think game play is better on the 360, i just cant see it selling many other types of games, which there is a thread somewhere saying it isnt selling them as well,

i think it will be at 35million end of this year, there are so many second hand ones on ebay/amazon and in some local shops, ok its iether people buy them to make money or as i said mates of mine had them got bored and are selling them, and i think arround 12m next, 9m next, and then 4 year after,

Another failure thread, calling wii a gimmick after more than a 1 year of consistently being sold out is very stupid, and you must not be taken seriously any longer.

Bets with Conegamer:

Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.

I want pictures, amazon is not a great source for video game console sales as we have seen in the past. Without pictures I wont believe this is true(anyone can say the PS3 is selling out, and the wii is in the 100's at best buy without proof).

 2008 end of year predictions:

PS3: 22M

360: 25M

wii: 40M

something like that, i just thought it was really strange them having loads in stock, i know its not really right time of year for sales, but when summert sod out for so long, i was kinda thinking that they will go out of stock dead quick when they come in again as people have the money there to buy them straight away cause they saved for them, and now there everywhere and no one wants one except my wife

I was gonna type a reply and then i thought i just couldn't be bothered.

I could state right now there are 30 360 elites at my local BestBuy and I would have as much credibility as you guys do.
