I think that right about this time we will be right at the great tribulation or already at the millenium kingdoom of Jesus Christ, so, there will be no video games anymore.
If these events do not happen in 20 years, I think there will be a lot of VR stuff, mobile will be huge and Nintendo and Sony will be out of business. Also, new players will get in the market, like google, Samsung and such.

and after 1h you will need to do a single QTE that does not work everytime because nobody gives a fuck about quality assurance so you have to repeat the whole process and if the QTE didn't bug out and you were successful then your 500€ game that was a 1h video with 1 single "button press" (you just have to think about it in the future no need to use hands at all) ends at a cliff hanger because you have to buy the end for another 500€ (DLC)

What if internet greatly improves on the next 20 years and allows for an all digital future? Not that I want an all digital future, that would be a nightmare even with perfect internet stability. Of course, net neutrality and poor infrastructure will slow this down, but one can hope.

20 years is way to far in the future to have any type of good prediction. It could be bigger and better than ever, it could be starving.

The characters are real humans or robot. LOL. Kidding a side. Maybe the game will be more realistic. the graphics are do great. Its like you are in the game also.
