I don't think the site likes the idea of PS4 dominating so thoroughly. It seems they have a bias towards the Xbox...as they consistantly overtrack XBox numbers and undertrack PS4...but the idea that they continue this farce even AFTER Sony announces official numbers is ludicrous!

I just find it odd. Even if we go with the whole, 'you can't just randomly adjust numbers because ioi needs to have some idea of where to adjust them', losing another 100k surely wouldn't have been THAT difficult. It IS almost as if this site doesn't want that 10m on the front page.

The PS5 Exists.

Yeah he did say that. But that's exactly what they have done today. Just put 500k consoles in to a god knows where section.

My guess is PS4 is extremely poorly tracked in Europe and is actually much more dominant in smaller countries with poorer tracking. Just of word of mouth, here in Ireland, PS4 is easily the more popular console and still pretty hard to pick one up

ioi made very clear he thought his #'s for USA, Europe, and Japan were pretty close to spot on. He still needed to find out where exactly the "other" sales were. He can't just "dump" numbers in there, as you say, otherwise it may be even further off for those who are getting detailed data by country (Pro users).

So I'd say they found a reasonable allocation for a majority (not all) of the missing sales.

Money can't buy happiness. Just video games, which make me happy.
