Sony coasted at the start of the 7th gereration......... and now that they have you in their pockets again they have started the 8th gen in EXACTLY the same fashion.

If there were a shit tonne of great games out for the console right NOW, that might go some way to explaining its sales numbers, but for it to be trouncing the opposition without even bothering to try all that hard (again, hype and talk) it's just sad to see.

Better hardware, better exclusives, better image. That's why people choosing PS4.
Like Steve Jobs said in his 1996 interview - "Microsoft has no taste, not in a small but in big way, they don't bring much culture into their products ... they make third grade products, they have no spirit to them, they are very pedestrian..."

Easy now. I think a lot of people liked the varied stream of quality games on PS3 that lasted to the end and knew that the PS4 would be equally supported for many years. I agree that in terms of their libraries as of this moment the PS4 and XB1 are pretty close (especially when you consider that Titanfall, Dead Rising 3 and Ryse on that list are all soon to be on PC) but you have to be very short sighted to not consider what's coming further down the line. Additionally the majority of mainstream gamers are primarily buying a console for the huge AAA multiplats (GTA, COD, BF, AC, FIFA, TES, etc.) and when the general perception is that these games run and look better on the PS4 I really can't see why you're surprised. The PS4 is quite a lot stronger and that's not me being a fanboy. Frankly that's just a fact.

I really hope you have a shitload of MS stocks because otherwise you're far too affected by this console "war". Relax and remember to breathe.. XB1 is doing ok on its own terms.

They haven't released ANYTHING NEW of any decent quality recently (aside from a lazy "remaster lol" with only ever so slightly better graphics of a game a mere 1 year old)

Theres not even ONE must have game coming for the rest of 2014.

On top of that, everyone knows that a shit tonne of their "2015" games will get pushed back to 2016. (same shit happened on ps3, that machine had fuck all in terms of real quality games until "the delayed" MGS4 hit)

That god damn console is selling on hype alone, and that just does not sit well with me, PATHETIC.

Lucky bastards either stayed quiet (DRM) or said the right thing at the right time, and the vast majority lapped it up and bought it hook, line and sinker.

Hell, i'll even go as far as to say that "gamers" are PISSING ME OFF right now.

Those sony motherfuckers are coasting along without a care in the world, (hey, why try hard when people are buying your console regardless of how little you try) and that ANGERS me.

in your opinion.  

in my opinion ps4 has had some of the best support (games) i've ever seen in the launch year.   it's amazing to think i have a big backlog already and i bought ps4 late to boot.   launching the best specced hardware at such a reasonable price.   shareplay.   ps+.  vita remote play.   a slick, fast user interface.  ps4 deserves its success.

They will try, but the way they re getting dominated it will cost them way to much to buy exclusivity. I think they might have something else up their sleves aside from tomb raider, but no more than one more game time exclusive, never complete exclusive.
