So hilarious

As much as I would love to watch that, I'm holding off on spoiling any more than the trailers have already shown, haha.

Thanks anyway!

UPDATE:

The game's Japanese Miiverse page has opened, and so the next step in our campaign begins.

From now on we'll be posting there asking for it to be localized. It has already begun...

Hmm ... I'm extremely skeptical of this whole effort for the localization of Fatal Frame 5. If I don't hear any announcements before the end of this year it's probably futile to expect or hope for a localization in the future based off the fact that previous Fatal Frame game's release gaps between japan and north america were always 4 months or less.

That was back in the PS2 gen though, that's a bit far back to  be a relevant comparison today, isn't it?

Let me tell you something ... This observation applies even to spin offs and remakes!

The 3DS spin off was only 4 months away from the japan release. Fatal Frame 2 for the WII was released in english territories on the SAME day as the japan release!

The release pattern hasn't changed one bit ...

A lot of other games that were localised saw delays long beyond 4 months; Xenoblade/The Last Story/Pandora's Tower, for example.

These games have nothing to do with Fatal Frame's release pattern and this time Tecmo Koei has a hand in this to despite the fact that Nintendo is the one publishing the game ...

You can bet that the last two localized Fatal Frame releases were because of the fact that it was Tecmo Koei who were the ones that footed the bill for an english release inspite of the fact that it was slightly post operation rainfall period.

Fatal Frame doesn't have some rigid set of rules that it must abide by as a series. There's no law saying it must release within four months. The decision and then  the subsequnt translation could take longer.

Did I say that it was a rule ? Merely, I was making an observation about the series release pattern ...

Yes, there's no law stating that an english release must come within 4 months after the japan release but it's definitely a recurring behaviour for the Fatal Frame franchise.

With previous entries that were localised, they were planned that way prior to release. With this one, localisation clearly wasn't a lock from day 1. It takes time for word to get through, decisions to be made, translations to take place, etc.

Maybe the campaign won't change their minds, and we'll just have to hack it like we did with Fatal Frame 4. But it's worth a shot I reckon.
