I wouldn't mind Xbox being owned by Amazon. MS doesn't care about Xbox that much. :/

I know growth and market share are important, but Amazon should also consider to make a profit soon. Investors are not that patient as you could see with their latest financial report.

I don't see why that would be so strange... It would actually be a logical progression... Offer XBox (or rebrand it to FireBox) as a full- scale console, and FireTV as a portable box in the manner of PSTV. 

Now that would make for an interesting competition.

I just wonder what Microsoft's asking price will be? Do they value XBox closer to What'sApp, to Beats by Dre or to Twitch. My guess is that MS would gladly get rid of it for 6-7 billion.

True but maybe they'll do a better job of making their own games rather than just spending money on third party exclusives which eventually end up on PC a few months later.

But they would not be just buying the brand, but IPs and studios as well. And, anyway, Amazon is a much stronger brand than XBox, and the rename would help them differentiate from Microsoft and its bad PR.

I thought that if MS were to sell Xbox to someone else, they would also sell all their game studios as well.
