I think what we're going to see is a backlash against feminism by men who are actually not against equality, just as feminism itself was the backlash against the unfair treatment of women.
In both cases, as with just about everything else, it's the extremists who ruin the whole parade. They're the ones who get all the attention and eventually become the de facto representatives of their respective sides, even though they don't really represent many people at all. They cause a snowball effect, where bystanders become collateral damage and end up jumping in to defend themselves, usually with words of anger and misplaced aggression.
Yeah, just like fanboys and fangirls.
By the way, Phil Fish annoys the hell out of me. Not because he's an asshole or because he wants to stop making games but because he cries like a bloody five year old child. I mean, goddamn, pull your big boy pants on, Phil. People were mean to you online? Goodness. Everyone in the entire world who works in retail is rolling their eyes at you. A couple days ago, I had an old man yell at me because I politely explained to him why he was having problems with his account. That's to my face, up close and personal, not over social fucking media. And you know what, Phil? I couldn't throw a hissy fit because being polite is part of my job. I, and many, many other people, deal with assholes on a daily basis. The gaming community isn't the devil and you certainly are no martyr. You're just a guy who thought dealing with assholes by being an asshole was a good idea, then ran away when he realized no one person can win against hundreds of anonymous assholes.

I am tired of all this hipocrisy, and Phil Fish, I am also tired of him. Gaming is getting more and more ridiculous.
Maybe she was defended by them because the actual facts showed she was probably a victim? I mean 90% of it was complete BS that was made up/forged by strangers on reddit. Any time anyone calls that out they are called a "SJW" or a "feminist". But then I guess pages of mostly bile and links to hilariously BS youtube videos in subreddits written by trolls that make it their business to make shit up and fuck with peoples lives are more reliable than an actual investigation by kotaku(who would be financially liable if any of the accusations were true)

All Hail the Jester King. The King is back, and I am still a dirty girl prof ;)
Can we all just write this off as being a publicity stunt and move on?
This sort of thing happens all the time. If there is no drama, then there is no news.
If you dislike what she did, don't buy her game. If you support her, buy her game.
What she did is definitely immoral (that is if she did cheat on her partner), but then again some people are being overly judgemental on the situation.
It is up to her and her partner to sort out, not a bunch of users on the internet.
Two wrongs simply do not make a right. Not everyone has taken this too far, but surely there are some crazy people out there that would have been abusive towards her, which in turn gives forum users a bad name.
The best way to get passed a situation like this is not to get involved. Some people simply do shitty things whether they are male or female.

Is this thread also going to get banned by this site too ? Is the internet so deep in the "Social Justice Warrior" crap that it became like a feminist ISIS or something? |

I don't care if she had sex with millions of people.
The issue is not about this, the issue is she got in bed with journalists to get her game made in "Game Jam" (while getting the guy who hosted it fired for being a misoginist) and then she went to bed with a guy to have her game featured on Kotaku and other sites and then after all this shit she blames gamers for attacking her and censoring all the threads (and banning sites that post anything against her) ... so that is why I think Journalists do not have the balls to say anything against her.
While other developers... such as Kojima and XSEED get run down hard because of stupid shit like "He said Trap thats offensive for my Genderqueer friends!!"
tl;dr its about Hypocrisy

Kotakus own investigation found none of that was true. But then hey, what's more reliable? An inviestigation by those that would be liable if it was true and would have to fire people, or the made up accusations of those on reddit? I guess it doesn't matter that the one guy who worked at kotaku that she was suspected of sleeping with never wrote a story about, or reviewed her game. But then what are facts compared to the ramblings of reddit trolls?

What if I told you that the first mention of the game "Depression Quest" even before it was even made was from Kotaku and it was from Patricia Hernandez and she also wrote an article about how she is depressed because she have "Two girlfriends at once"
http://kotaku.com/what-games-taught-me-about-having-two-girlfriends-at-on-1511252093
(yeah she always posts about stuff that has fuck all to do with games but she just brags about how feminist she is, and how companies like microsoft are implying rapists and other click bait shit)
After that she pitched the game and praised it to no end and then comes multiple articles previewing the thing and then they mentioned it is going to Game Jam and they asked about support, and how she implanted a chip on her hand (which by the way I personally because I highly support Transhumanism )
They wrote a lot of articles about her that includes Kirk Hamilton (which hates everything that isn't indie by the way, he's irritating) , Nathan Grayson (the guy who all this shit was behind) and of course Patricia as well, Stephen Totilo was actually (and still is) the only decent writer in that site
As a person who reads Kotaku daily, i don't think I would lie about this. I personally do talk to the writers a lot on twitter whenever I find a story they should talk about...
