Except you'll also need at least one light gun, which go for at least $20 each.

And you can't use light guns with LCD TVs.

And House of the Dead 2 emulation on the 360 is horrible.

But otherwise, yep, great suggestion. Now you, too, can have a more expensive, buggier version of this great game which probably won't work on your TV anyway!

You're mistaken. The Wii-zapper is not a lightgun! The Wii zapper will work just fine! Even on LCD screens! It's a wii-mote with extra plastic that's it. And you get Link's Crossbow Training on top of that =P

He's talking about the Xbox version that tastyshovelware is try to have people get instead

If you are a owner of Wii request for the success of House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return. According to Sega, if the title sell well around the world the editor would plan to offer to the console House of the Dead 4

@ Garcian Smith and Hawk: Oops!

Anyways here's hoping we will see House of the Dead 4 :)

In the Wii game there is Big head mode and I think something called Maniac mode for House 3 which is where all the enemies are alwasy blocking your attacks thats what IGN may of been refuring to i think its a new feature.

i really don't mind if people get the wii version. i'm just pointing at that, despite it's name, it's really not a new game at all and that it has more or less already been on the market for the xbox for 5 and a half  (!!!!!) years.

sega shoulda thrown in an arcade port of HotD1 to spice things up.

I do have to say, That Nyko gun looks pretty awesome. I might have to pick that up and then have an additional gun for two player RE: Umbrella Chronicles

The Nyko gun is the best by far, I want it badly so I have a reason to pick up RE:UC and Ghost Squad.

Hate to say it, but after RE:UC, HOTD just looks and plays like ass by comparison.

And for the record, I was a huge HOTD fan back with HOTD2 on the DC.

"I mean, c'mon, Viva Pinata, a game with massive marketing, didn't sell worth a damn to the "sophisticated" 360 audience, despite near-universal praise--is that a sign that 360 owners are a bunch of casual ignoramuses that can't get their heads around a 'gardening' sim? Of course not. So let's please stop trying to micro-analyze one game out of hundreds and using it as the poster child for why good, non-1st party, games can't sell on Wii. (Everyone frequenting this site knows this is nonsense, and yet some of you just can't let it go because it's the only scab you have left to pick at after all your other "Wii will phail1!!1" straw men arguments have been put to the torch.)" - exindguy on Boom Blocks

ive played through HotD2 over a dozen times since it hit in 99 or 2000 (including once fairly recently).

it's one of my top 20 favorite games.
