If you truly don't like the DS4, then wait until a third party controller comes to the store shelves:

Problem solved! Now stop posting these click bait articles with childish rants to follow them up.

Stop reading. Problem solved.

I dont read your rants because they are a waste of time.  You have just acknowledged that my post solves ALL of your problems.

Any further posts from you just verifies that you are a troll or here to bash the DS4 for no apparent reason.

I do not care, the dualshock 3 is really bad, but the dualshock 4 is perfect.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

LOL... if you don't read my "rants" then how can you confirm that they are rants?

Your post doesn't solve anything. That controller looks terrible. Have you every played with a third party controller? They are horrendous.

Love the logic of your last sentence by the way. If thats what your going with... have at it.

Stop being so stubborn and actually give the DS4 a chance, how long have you used it 5, 10, 15 minutes?!

Borrowed my friends PS4 and used it for 4 days. The triggers and shoulder buttons are a huge improvement over the DS3 and it feels a lot less like a plastic kids toy but it is still the same archaic design. People often talk about symmetrical sticks vs assymetrical sticks but I think that misses the point. The real reason why the xbox controllers are better (imo) is because they put the most commonly used controls in dominant positions. Positions that your thumb will naturally gravitate towards. The d-pad is not very commonly used in modern games, yet it is still taking up prime real-estate on the DS4. Why?

The amount of gimmicks on the controller is also really annonying. Atleast with the sixaxis it didn't have any noticable affect on the layout. This time Sony has dropped a completely pointless touchpad smackdab in the middle of the controller forcing the start button into a really awkward position. I'm also not happy that there is a dedicated button on the controller for something I have absolutely no intention of ever using. Its awkward placement on the controller thanks to the equally gimmicky touchpad has led me to press it by accident on several occasions. The lightbar serves no purpose other than draining the battery and the mic is just another useless add on. The only thing missing is the kitchen sink.

Well the problem with this thread is how you the minority is complaining about a few little things on that DS4 controller that everyone loves, it's drawing in a bunch of attention and is completely pointless. If you hate the DS4 controller so much and prefer the Xbox then buy an Xbone and keep away from the PS4, keep your complaints to yourself.

I can easily complain about how horrible the analog sticks are on the Xbox controller is, like how it jams into your thumb about a couple hours and can become painful, but atleast I can admit the Xbox controller is still a good controller besides this flaw. You can't sit there and bash the DS4 about a couple features in the controller that are great for everyone but not for you just admit it's a good controller and end this already.

When you say fingers I'm assuming your excluding your thumbs and index fingers? So you would actually use your other digits while maintaining your thumbs in the normal position? I'd love to see that, that couldn't possibly look comfortable. Your friends don't complain about it, but my friend who I borrowed the ps4 from has already told me he misses the xbox controller.

Yes, I do use the options button more. Outside of the first party titles, none of the games I have played have required me to use the touchpad. And as I mentioned, it is used for pausing games and other media. Part of my issue with its position is muscle memory. Start buttons have almost always been in the same general area since the NES days. I can get used to change but only when that change is in service of something worthwhile. The touchpad has not proven its worth and unlike sixaxis it is also permanently hindering the design of the controller.

But if people don't have a keyboard and mouse then how they are still playing a gimped version. You could take away the touchpad inputs and use only a regular controller and it would still be gimped. Are you arguing levels of gimped? And no I don't care that I'm losing inputs with the 360 controller because those inputs have not been used in a compelling way and any adapter will have ways to map that functionality in some other way. Most games aren't going to use it extensively so its not a big deal.

If you love your ds4 controller that is fine, but your dead wrong if you think that I'm not dead serious about wanting to use an xbox controller on the ps4. I paid a mint for the privelege on ps3 and I'd be willing to do the same for ps4. The fact that it is not an option is literally the only reason I haven't bought the console yet. I don't care about bashing the ds4, some of you have a serious persecution complex.

its actually very simple to change which fingers your using for what depending on what your playing and what you want to do.  its been out 9 months and this hasnt been an issue, yet now you pop up and all your friends have issues, and you seem to be completely incapable of teaching yourself new muscle movements.  i even said at first you will go to where it used to be, but in no time your reaching to where it is, and should have no probem hitting it and telling the difference between it and the touchpad.

the game was designed and released on the ps4, with a controller layout that gives ou everything you need.  and gave you options for if you want even more controls.   what you want to do is use something that is gimped from its design.   you say the ds4 would be gimped, but it isnt, because it is designed for it.  they made the game to work on a ds4, and they included options for those more hardcore.

you cant use a ds3 on the ps4, so in what crazy world would they let you use a 360 controller when it has he same amount of player input options.   there is a reason new 3rd party controllers have to come out,  they need to match specifications so they they arent gimped in comparison.  they can have extra buttoms, and all kinds of bells and whistles,  but at the end of the day they need a base amount, and thats what the ds4 has.

You failed with your click bait DRM talk that made you look bad,  then you tried to fight about being right when you were oh so terribly wrong,  took you forever to change the title, and when you did its still pretty much click bait.  a decent thread title could have been "3rd party controller compatibility" .   you are trying to get all this attention and people to listen to how you dont like the ds4 and want to use a 360,   youve come up with crazy complaints and terrible reasons for why you think its uses havent been compelling, meanwhile you dont even own the system.   youve mentioned you havent played the majority of the games we have brought up that make good use of it,  and all you have done is mention infamous,  when you could ahve used BF4, as they dont use it at all really.

if you dont like the ds4,  wait until a 3rd party controller comes out,  like those already in production.

now im done replying to you, because no one else is really saying anything because of how out to lunch your DRM talk was, and me calling you out keeps bumping this thread up and it deserves to just die globally in the US.

If people don't want to hear me say anything bad about the ds4 then either stop reading or stop responding to me with points that I don't agree with. LOL.. I am most certainly not going to admit that it is a great controller because I don't think that it is. I honestly don't understand the insecurity of some people on here. I am not asking anybody to stop enjoying their ds4. I just wanted to see if there were like minded people that also wanted adapter options, if that is not the case then that is fine, at this point I'm just engaging with people who feel the need to debate my dislike of the DS4. I don't like the DS4, this is not a personal attack on anybody here, this is just my opinion. If you have a negative opinion of the Xbox 360 controller then by all means feel free to state it. If your points are valid I may even agree with you. It's just a dialogue, no need to get bent out of shape.

Why don't you try using a Wii Controller Pro?

you can always buy an xbox and sell your ps4 if this matters to you that much.....

all i am going to say...

LOL... if you don't read my "rants" then how can you confirm that they are rants?

Your post doesn't solve anything. That controller looks terrible. Have you every played with a third party controller? They are horrendous.

Lol I don't need to read your rants because I can tell that you are responding in great lengths in a very impassioned way.

Are you going to be modeling with the controller down the red carpet?  Or are you going to be sitting on your couch playing a PS4 that you currently dont own.  How can you say that this specific third party controller is going to be horrendous?  Have you ever used this one?
I guess I should have supplied you with ALL of the third party controllers to make sure that you dont assume that the one I supplied is the only one.  I just figured that the idea of third party controllers would solve your problem.  Apparently I was totally wrong.

I can tell that you are a huge fan of the XB360 controller.  So my suggestion would be to stay with the XB1 and to not buy a PS4 since third party controllers dont seem to be the resolution that you were looking for.

My god, the sony defense force is really putting out their best effort here. If it were the X1 doing this, people would be calling MS out for limiting peoples options in terms of controllers and ripping them apart.

Nothing you can do unfortunately. Make a thread on the Sony page, and maybe someone will pick up on it. Otherwise, gotta hope someone will make a workaround.
