Well this is completely normal, if you are concerned about all things anal.
I choose neoprene accessories whenever I need to waggle my controller in dangerous ways.
WHERE IS MY KORORINPA 3

I just wipe my 3DS once in a while. Screens and everything.
I find your hobby , weird and scary.

Omg YES, I hate it when people are eating and want to jump in! I'm like "no, NO, you go wash those hands first!"
And it's not so much a hobby as it is an over-protective OCD condition, hahahaha
i defiantly oil/clean the column of analog sticks where they contact the controller if i dont they start to stick and i hate that when competitively paying online
i also regularly clean the whole controller with rubbing alcohol and take them apart to clean the buttons same as the analog sticks they build up worn plastic and start to stick
i also modify the triggers with rubber band stops so they dont make loud clanky noises after being pressed

Play Me
I sometimes clean the dirt off the tiny slit between the back and the front of the controller with something thin. And the joysticks sometimes get too greasy when not in use, so I wipe it off with towel paper. But that's it.

Your "defiantly" typo actually makes sense, lol... Got go up against that damn "track wear" when you're competitive xD

Omg, lending someone my stuff where I can't keep an eye on it is such a "contractual" ordeal for me... I'll do it, but it's like "here's what I expect", and I start talking about cleanliness and other "respects" to my property, hahaha

Yeah, I lost 2 PS1 controllers because of lending it to friends, then the one that came with the console that I still have, the one that came back with food xD, the cable protection was cut-off in two places and still is that way lol, also I lost one PS2 controller too and one the cable was eaten by a rabbit of my cousin... and people still wonder why I usually don't lend my controllers anymore, lol. |
Don't even get me started on my car... My god, the disrespect some people have for the property of others drives me almost postal... I don't understand how you CAN'T respect and take extra care of something that someone is letting you borrow that ISN'T YOURS. Gawwwdddddd... I treat the property of others BETTER than my own, because it's not mine! I already got pissed because this girl who did an interview on my show plays by digging her nails directly into the analog stick, and now it has permanent "nail" marks on it. I damn near busted my spleen, but managed to convince myself it wasn't worth spilling blood over, hahaha

I've never bothered with cleaning my controller. (since they never really get dirty anyway)
I clean my controllers every 2-3 days. I want them very clean. Also, never eating or drinking when playing! LOL
