I think I'm too old to try out older games now. I really wanted to play the latest Fire Emblem but Nintendo decided to not release it to an actual console.

I'd be playing a lot more JRPGs if Nintendo SE wouldn't hold them hostage on greatly inferior platforms.

Am I the only one who thought FF9 sucked?

It doesn't really have that great of a story, and the characters are weak imitations of FF4 characters. The game is fairly boring 75% of the time. It also has that generic Crystal Chronicles art style. It didn't do anything new, and what it was doing had already been done better before.

Every Final Fantasy game up until 9 did something that seemed really progressive and different. Final Fantasy 9, I just don't see anything enjoyable about it, nothing that even really sets it apart from a Crystal Chronicles game.
