The focus that Sony has on New IPs is one of the reasons why i like them so much.

I said this before. Next year will be worse for the x1 than this one. They lack exclusives for next year while the ps4 has them in spades. After the holidays, x1 owners have nothing to look foward to except for quantom brake until the next holidays.

I really like how Gamescom is now pretty much as important as E3 when it comes to announcements. The number of games Sony showed off is unprecedented and we've still got TGS to go (although not expecting as much as TGS seems to be decreasing in importance).

I think I'll make a thread comparing all new announcements from the big three over the summer once TGS is over.

People keep saying that Nintendo won E3 and some are also of the opinion that MS won Gamescom (I'd wholeheartedly disagree on that though), but I think once the summer is over and we get the complete picture of all the big events, it won't even be close anymore.

Tbh I don't think anyone won e3, they were all really average IMO (even ninty) and came down to personal  preference .

GC was much more obvious 

I think I can get down with Nintendo winning E3. Sony are obviously, as has been shown at Gamescom, spacing out their announcements over the summer, Nintendo on the other hand pretty much put everything they got into this one event. I prefer Sonys approach, that way we have 3 events in the summer to look forward to (possibly even a fourth depending on this Sony Asia conference on Sep. 1st).

Sony's GC was surprisingly good, i thought they were going to waste more time on multiplats than they did. Even though i liked most of their E3, SCEA could take some notes from what SCEE did here, it was definitely better.

Also, would i be correct in assuming that Sony is "forced" to showcase Destiny, FC4 and Shadow of Mordor at these events? As part of their exclusivity deals. I mean, they were clearly intent on showing "different" (Jim Ryan said so himself when he first walked on stage), new games, and those three really stood out as a sore thumb, completely out of place compared to the rest of the show. Probably the same applies to MS with COD and Fifa
