She breaks down in front of an enemy she has faced many times before and never been phased by. Adam is able to sneak up and shoot her. She has to be rescued from Ridley by Anthony, who she then fails to save in return. (The fact he doesn't die does not mitigate her failure)

Oh please, stop. That scene alone doesn't make her a bad character. She faced Ridley in an awesome battle and defeat him. Adam shooting her is not a problem as she is focused on the baby Metroid and saving Anthony is not a problem.

Other M Samus is acrobatic, agile, speed and great. Deal with it.

No other version of Samus was outmatched by an ordinary human, devolved into a quivering, ineffectual mess for no logical reason, needed to be rescued by another mere human, or just flat out failed at so many things.

She was smart to leave Adam command this mission. There's not any problem with that. Many of us understand that this game is different and not the same "explore desert planeth" but more like a mission based Metroid.
