I follow Sony news here a lot, and I don't see that much hate, especially when compared to XOne.
Though it seems that Nintendo doesn't get a lot of hate, it's mostly unicorns and rainbows and lillies blooming in the fields

Don't forget grey. If it's not colourful, it's a boring grey game. If there are cutscenes, it's an interactive movie. If it has realistic graphics, the gameplay is not good. AmIright?

Anyway, I have to sort of agree with others who say that all consoles get a lot of hate. However, Sony fans do get the most hate. I've lost count of how many times I've seen people call Sony fans out as if they are worse than the other fanbases. 

In terms of whether each company deserves the hate or criticism they get from gamers is a different story. The ps4 has done so far everything right. Excellent price, good hardware and some good first party games. With wii, the hardware wasn't good enough and games looked terrible (imho) compared to ps360. The initial criticism of xb360 was also justfied, as the rrod was a huge deal and too many people were affected. As for the ps3, the criticism was again justified, as that price was quite high and the performance of the console compared to xb360 did not justiy the price. With the ps4 sony hasn't done anything wrong and all I see is people focusing on lack of first party AAA games, which is not valid criticism, considering the past generations. In other words, I don't think it deserves the hate it gets.

The fact that it's easily beating wiiu and xb1 has little to do with the hate it gets. PSvita got the most hate I've see for a console and we all know it never did well. XB1 gets a lot of hate for the initial policies (more than ps4) and it's not beating anything at the moment. The wiiu got just as much hate in its first year, but at this point I think most people are indifferent to it.

yep, i feel scared posting anything xbox related on these forums and i stay away from ps4 threads because its always the same people calling out xbox for no reason(from both sides, like why even bring it up). But ive found my haven on the pc and nintendo forums.

All my criticisms are deserved.  Doesn't matter to the fanbase here though.  Depending on what group of people you ask, I'm a fanboy on one of the other consoles, even Playstation fans.   The OP to this thread has called me a Nintendo fanboy, more sublte, less outright, although the people who know me know I'm a Playstation fan above all others.  I don't care what company it is.  If they do something I don't like, then I'm going to let people know about it. 

What? It shows an attitude which applies to a lot of people here. That's not your opinion? Fine. But it's mine. I don't say Sony doesn't get hate but almost *every* MS news gets hate. If it's bad "MS as usual" if it's good "Ha, don't believe them!". Btw, why do you bring Pezus into this? The account shall rest in peace.

i think it has alot to do with hate, if i were to buy a new console i would go and research a bit. And when you do you just see a whole ton of hate like from the  sites and comment sections, xbox articles tend to have whay more comments then ps4 articles and more ps4 fans in them. If i were to see that i wouldnt want to be part of a community where you are constantly hated on and people activley trying to make you feel bad about your purchase all the time (even on these forums). hate and negativity do affect the brand, thats all im saying.

I dont hate any console but i can see which fan base is more rabid than the others. Xbox fans especially has been shutdown and everything good that ever happens to them is met with intense hate, where like 4-5 threads are opened at once expressing hate all at once. (like the other day i saw a thread full of hate, especially in the OP where the hate was directed at xbox fans getting exclusive figurines or a freaking cloth map with their purchase of witcher 3, what the hell..). Xbox fans have basically no presence and even in neogaf only post in 2-3 threads (SONYGAF confirmed xD) and on this site they barely post outside of xbox nation because it is unsafe to post anywhere else.

People don't like Sony fans for whatever reason. Maybe we're too arrogant, but at least we're not delusional.
