FFXIII being made into a $180 game to get the whole story and being hot garbage turned me off from Final fantasy. Now all they need to do is completely screw up Kingdom hearts 3, and that would be the last game I ever buy from them.

Type-O debacle was biggest one of recent years for me. Deny westerners a game for years, then announce a HD remaster...on consoles instead of the Vita like most wanted. It really is odd how disconnected Square Enid are from their fans.

The only things I want from SqEnix are their handheld offerings now. Bravely Default, Theatrhythm, Dragon Quest (which they wouldn't dare to localize) on the 3DS, and the Final Fantasy X and X-2 remasters on the Vita.

I'm still waiting on 3DS remakes of the SNES Final Fantasy games, SqEnix. That'll be the only way for you to regain your spot alongside Atlus as one of my favorite RPG publishers.

It's obvious MS offered a shit ton of money to make it happen and it is extremely disheartening that SE caved in. You basically took money to make other potential customers sit tight and with how petty fanboys can be, they may lose sales once it comes out.

That's why I'll get a Vita eventually. I never really go to play FF X and (X-2, of course.) I just can't justify a purchase right now, since I'm still looking for copies of the games I want that can be found in stores - the kinds that you can walk in.

I still don't know how the Square side of the equation ended up selfdestructing over the debacles that were the XIII Trilogy, XIV and now the delayed FF XV. Well, at least the handheld division is somewhat insular.

Short-term gain, long-term loss. I won't be surprised if this has a negative impact on their sales on FF XV and KH III. (If they come on time, that is.)

Burn, bridges, burn!

The fact that Kingdom Hearts 3 still isn't out yet is so fuckin heartbreaking to me. I played 1 and 2 when I was in Middle School/High School. I have now graduated college and have a full time job, and KH3 is STILL not out.

People love to hate on Activision because of yearly releases, but at least they give the people what they fucking want, on time.

On the issue, yes... SE has to be one of the most stupid companies on the planet. So much so that one has to attribute every good thing they do to being a fluke. Just a few more points to tell you how stupid they really are since you don't follow them and I do.

• They stalled development of FFv13 so they could make two more sequels to the most hated FF iteration ever.
• The released the same FF game twice FF14 cause their first time round left them with a game that had too many issues.
• They stalled development of a mainline sequel to one of their most losved franchises, Kingdom Hearts and made over 5-6 iterations of the game on a platform that had nothing to do with the platform that made the franchise a thing to begin with n addition to a couple of remasters. then as you said,
• announced KH3 at the same time when announcing FF15 which is to be developed by the same team that is currently making FF15. So if FF15 comes out in 2016, which seems to be the case unless they surprise us all at TGS this year which could make it have a 2015 release date instead then that means that the earliest KH3 gets released is in 2017/2018!!!!!!
• They let great extremly loved and well designed franchises die  (warning, get ready to be shocked!).

  • Vagrant story
  • Final Fantasy Tactics
  • Front Mission
  • Dragon Quest
  • Valkyrie Profile
  • Star Ocean
  • Chrono Trigger
• Any one of the above named franchises could have been rebooted and would have generated a lot of fanfare, especially Vagrant story(could have been better than the souls franchise), Parasite Eve, Dragon quest and star ocean(could have been their own answer to mass effect). But they somehow just pissed those all away.
• Now from their recent aquisitions they have Hitman, tomb raider and duex ex... and somehow they have not announced or shown a new deux ex or hitman.
• They went into bed with MS with the 360 in japan at the start of last gen, it failed. But at least one could understand why, the PS3 was a year late to market. But now they are doing it again, while completely ignoring the odds MS are facing right now.

I still believe square will do the right thing and bring back bushido blade.
