Ok well you never mentioned that.  The title doesn't mention Mario, you used both Mario and Donkey Kong Country, and you said that they don't really introduce new characters at all (not just Mario).

Technically, with the Pokemon games, they've added over 500 new characters (including the various professors and Gym Leaders), so...

I'm pretty sure Wario was introduced before Super Mario World came out. I could be wrong though. The baby versions of the characters have been around since Super Mario World 2, and that was made a long time ago. We already pointed out that Daisy has been around forever, but do agree with you that characters like Toadette, and the Waluigi, and the evil girlfriends are dumb. I also can't stand the inclusion of Birdo. I know he/she has been around forever, but started appearing in the party games starting with Mario Tennis. What a lame character.

im just saying, it's too often that the new characters they push are just rehashes. it would be nice to see a completely new concept character and then have that guy/girl start appearing in like kart, party, etc.

Lots of the Paper Mario characters are great too, thats from all the games even the Terrible Wii game, I even Liked MR L, Luigi needs that costume in brawl.

Most of the complaining doesn't make sense, half of the characters are legit while the others are filler characters utilized only in spinoff games. Whenever they try to make original characters for filler material you end up with oddities like Plum who promptly disappear because no one knows or cares about them.

What you should be complaining about is the plethora of characters they haven't been using. There are plenty from SMB2 and beyond that made 1-2 appearances and then was never seen again. I really thought Tatanga was going to make a cameo in SMG, it was the perfect opportunity, and if they needed female characters they could have used Captain Syrup from Wario Land 1/2. Wario doesn't need a Peach knockoff for a girlfriend when they could resurrect Syrup and develop some type of love/hate relationship between her and Wario since they're both similar in personality and she's repeatedly one-upped him in his own games.
