Jesus would it be horrible, Flamingweazels and Zeros everywhere, it's sometimes difficult enough to have a decent discussion on here as it is (not saying the mods aren't doing their job), taking away the mods would makes it just insufferable on here. A site that compares the sales of the systems as directly as this one does would just be way too inviting for console warriors and trolls, if it weren't for the mods.

If we had the ability as users to police the forums like we would in a real anarchy, then I could see this place thriving. However, with no means of policing, we wouldn't be able to get rid of the trolls and spammers and multi-accounts people

Seriosly, if the mods abandoned the site for a day, EVERYTHING would spiral out of control. The only silver lining to come out of this would be more intense arguements to sit back and enjoy.

Humans are a self-regulating species. If mods were done away with then some other group or process would come about to keep things civil.

It'd be fine. The only real problem are those spambots that advertise random crap on forums. All that requires is a system where if something gets enough dislikes it is automatically hidden.

Hell, some sites need mods for their mods. The mods run wild and abuse their power banning people left and right just because they don't like them. (I'm not talking about this site in particular)
