It's locked at 60, that's the most important. But, not to start something here, didn't the developer say both version were 1080p?

Can't remember but as PS4 is 50% more powerful as repeated a million times how could both versions run the same?

Except they don't run the same. One of those has a 1080p while still maintaining 60fps.

Yeah, that's what I said.

I think 900p to the PS4s 1080p is a acceptable standard that the XB1 should be ok with. And everyone else for that matter unless they are anal (PS4 fans) or delusional (XB1 fans).

While, I do somewhat agree with what you said before this sentence. I do not agree with this. No, a 900p framerate to a 1080p framerate is not acceptible if one is paying the same money for both consoles. It would be acceptble if it were 100-150 dollars less than the ps4.

A $150 price cut would make it the same price as a 7th gen console.

The PS4 hardware is a better value at $399. However, the X1 visuals are still worth $399 compared to what a PC with similar specs cost.

You should start making your own comparisons CGI.

Not a bad idea.

You have the equipment. If you have the time, I say why not.

The way I see it, PS4 is technically clearly superior with a 30-40% advantage. However, this is such a well balanced third party release that, the entire advantage went to

- some extra resolution (25% more, 912p tp 1080p)
- some little bit more performance (51 fps vs 57 fps)
- a little better graphics (+ 5-10% of performance)

At the end of the day though, XB1 owners would almost get an identical game.

Playstation 5 vs XBox Series Market Share Estimates

Regional Analysis  (only MS and Sony Consoles)
Europe     => XB1 : 23-24 % vs PS4 : 76-77%
N. America => XB1 :  49-52% vs PS4 : 48-51%
Global     => XB1 :  32-34% vs PS4 : 66-68%

The blurriness makes it more scary. Good that they weren't going for immersion breaking clarity on X1.

And there you go. Both games look almost identical despite one being 900p

And people were calling me blind for saying that a good upscale looks just fine. Jeeze.

Hmm missed where it said that... however I did see it say PS4 version clearly shines in specific areas. It is what it is, people need to stop trying so hard and let this die

"In the case of Metro Redux, both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions look extremely similar, with just the level of post-process AA pixel crawl separating them."

"Raw mathematics would suggest that the increase in image quality on PS4 is pronounced, but in actual fact, both versions resolve detail extremely well - as the zoomer shots below demonstrate."

Did you even read the article, or did you selectively zoom through it? There were some minor things the PS4 did better, but on the whole the games look extremely similar.

Wow so similar and almost identical are the same to you..... noted.

No, "extremely similar" and "almost identical" mean essentially the same to me. Try harder.

Actually, we're pretty much directly on topic, but please, feel free to mind your own business.

If this is a joke, it's a damn good one. If it's not, still funny.

Just because you have an opinion doesn't mean you are necessarily right.
