Forums - Nintendo - The Legend of Zelda: Nintendo are afraid to ad voices ?

I'd like VA. Link doesnt need to talk though. You can have a silent protagonist in a VA world like in Half-Life or Dragon Quest 8.

Around the Network

They need to at least add VA to all the npcs. If they want to keep link devoid of any personality or personal attachment and keep him silent, whatever, i am fine with that, but all the other characters should at least talk. All little moans and groans they make right now are just creepy as hell!

I'm hoping Nintendo will actually make an artificial language and call it Hylian. In the absence of that, they should do the Midna thing and just have character's speak in gibberish or just add a grunt to give your ear the sound of their voice while the line is delivered with text.

I don't think anybody would have a problem with VA in the series, as long as Link stays silent...

I'm really surprised at how prevalent this attitude is. Link has never struck me as a silent protagonist; he's reluctant to talk, but he answers questions directed to him.

It's just he is always characterized by his actions, not his words.

Keep Link silent and give some voices to other people.

I also support this option.
