sharky said: With all the supposed good news for Sony lately, people sure have been ignoring the fact the PS3 is dead in Japan. Sales are down down down to a pitiful 18,000 or less per week again. Without it's home territory embracing it, how can PS3 be as strong as people claim (even though it's sales are not so good anywhere)? It's like PS3's skeleton in the closet, people dont speak aboput PS3's horrible, horrible sales in Japan. |
Sony fans don't even mention it, cos' they're too busy trying to convince us Wii's a fad, or a bad business choice for third parties... when there are actually as many ww 3rd party million sellers on Wii than on PS3...
Software sales in Japan are absolutely terrible for the PS3: 17,22 million for Wii, vs 4.22 million for PS3... how may 3rd parties be happy with such sales?
Even if on Wii, Nintendo's 1st party games represent a 50% market share, that's still a 8 million games market for them...
And as kasillas88 wants to talk about the 360's situation in Japan, it's not THAT bad: 2,44 million games, that's a little bit more than half of the PS3 software sales... not really a 400% difference, if you know what i mean...
