But it seems that whenever I read about these types of things, it's about some grudge that they are still holding. To "get even" per say, or "one up" whites. I think that's not the right mentality to have.

Yes, what happened in the past is horrid. But to end that, they should strive to be equal, not superior. The sooner that everyone strives to be equal is the day racism ends.

And that is a fact.

Forming your beliefs based on what you read and see in the media is never a good idea. Because people with more extreme opinions always get prioritised, while average Joe generates zero interest from readers.

I have seen plenty of racist posts from white people all over the internet, who seem to heavily outnumber black racists (of which I have barely seen any, in fact). Does this mean that most white people don't want the races to have equal rights?

No, of course it doesn't. And only a fool would make that assumption.
