Resistance is already dead. Sony confirmed it in late 2012/early 2013.

Good riddance as well. No offence to Insomniac Games, but the games (as a series) was pretty mediocre all round.

To me, Resistance: Fall Of Man, 3 and Retribution were great. Burning Skies and 2 were the only mediocre games in the series.

I'm pretty sure Resistance 2 is what killed the series sales wise, and Burning Skies was the final nail in the coffin.

Ah ok, well its good to see some people enjoy the games.

I played the first one for about 8 hours, stopped and I couldn't get back into it. Not played the second one and I've tried some of the third. But yeah, for me the series has its high points - like the unorthodox and strange weapons and atmosphere. Though the series never really hit the spot (for me). So I'd rather SCE abandon the IP for something entirely new instead.
