Yes 1 month left! We got 37 characters so far! (39 technically cuz mii's have 3 very different playstyles) so its tied to SSBB now :)

Funny thing is most people thought we have have 35-40 characters overall due to Sakurai's comment on alot of characters being cut and doesn't want to add alot of new characters (Priority was to balance the characters out, which it seems he and the team are doing right), but now 40+ characters is a lock. Yeah I just can't see them not adding Ganondorf, Ness, and Ice Climbers so that's already 42, which is 40+. Also, I believe Sakurai said there are still a few more newcomer videos left, so there's that as well.

Didn't you know?  Everyone on the internets are MLG Pro.  99.9% of them made it to the finals in the SSB Brawl in Evo.  For the .1% of people who aren't professional at the game, apparently he's a hard character  to get used to, but really good once you get good with him.  I dunno.  I'm in that .1% too.

Granted, I was never pro but we played Brawl everyday during lunch at my old job. We thought ourselves to be pretty f'in good- apparently not THAT GOOD! On the same kind of note, I always heard that Ness was a terrible competitive player... meanwhile I was always able to clean-up with him.  Different strokes for different folks

Link/Mario/Kirby/Pikachu are less popular than Captain Falcon/Marth/Fox So thats another *FAIL

You really dont understand what this argument is do you? This ISNT ABOUT which character is more popular/bigger franchise outside of SSB. Link is obviously mor popular than every FE character in gaming, but this is Super Smash Bros, something you clearly are failing to see.

BY your logic Mario and Pikachu is suppose to be the most popular characters in SSB (due to them being more known in the gaming industry), its just Fox for example is much more popular than both of them overall.

Pls just stop now, its kinda sad :-/

Metaknight is broken as F***!!! Only character ever to be in its own special tier XD.

At first i didnt kno wat all the fuss was about but he literally is OP. Project M nerfed him down, still top tier character but isnt broken.

Personally i dont go for characters just cuz of how good they are, otherwise i play Fox/Marth all the time. Im glad i played ZSS before SSB4 cuz she's looking like a top tier (and i get to say i played her when she wasnt good

 

What's all this tier talk?! you aren't truly good at Smash unless you can put the character picker on random and win no matter who you are playing as!

Your a lost cause. Link isnt more popular than Metaknight and damn well is nowhere near as popular as Marth. Captain Falcon (unlockable) is also much much more popular than Link.

Except, that's not how it works if you're playing beyond a small group of friends.  There are 36 characters in Brawl.  If I spend 360 hours spread among them and pick random, I'm going to get my ass handed to me by someone who spent 360 hours  practicing one character.

And IMO, if you're good at a game, you're good at it. There is cheating, yes, but you really couldn't SERIOUSLY cheat at Brawl. If someone is good enough at a fighting game, they can beat anyone, no matter who they're playing. Not every match, no, I mean shit happens. But people (meaning mostly tourney kids) complaining about "overpowered" characters and such.....it's just kind of annoying. If you're good, you can win. Period.
