Id never count Microsoft out of the race. They could win this gen even if they don't sell the most consoles. This gamescom didn't show that winning attitude, as zante points out above , alot shown was already known, the big AAA titles and the system sellers that are almost as a result of desperation to increase sales rather than present the future.
And hopefully it does work so we can see less cod and fifa in the future conferences and more exciting new IP's.

I honestly think this is my best piece, hopefully without sounding too smug. Wanted to post earlier after GC sony but it would've been lost in the hustle and bustle.
I honestly dont know how we can say otherwise, Silent Hill genius teaser by Kojima on PS4 ( which makes us think it's exclusive), Wild the new game from Michel Ancel ( why everyone forget this one ? :( ) , Until Dawn ( but not a surprise), and very very very good trailers of Rime ( gorgeous, 2015 goty for sure), Bloodborne and The Order.
Just perfect, e3 seems boring in comparison.
