It´s not like Microsoft put a gun in Square/CD president´s head to close the deal.

It was a bussiness decision. Money was exchanged and contracts were assingned.

So They released the reboot and the remaster on PS, PC and Xbox. End the game on a cliffhanger with a promise to pretty much pick up where they left off. Then they turn around and make it exclusive to one platform?
