Madden 15 will be released on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. The lack of a demo means that potential customers on three of those four platforms won't be able to try the game before they buy it. This will likely be particularly frustrating for those who haven't yet upgraded to a PS4 or Xbox One. EA hasn't put out any screenshots or gameplay footage from the last-generation versions of Madden 15, so people on those platforms looking to buy the game at launch will literally have no idea what they're getting.

Really?...no idea? lol what a joke

It's a business decision plain and simple and it makes sense. You need to add value to EA Access. I was disappointed when the Destiny alpha launched ONLY on PS4, but I understood there's clearly a business partnership there with Activision and Bungie and PS4.

Konami started it with MGS:Ground Zeroes.

I blame nanomachines.. and EA.

Just started downloading four games on my X1 for 30$, I don't mind that they place these early access behind the pay wall, only entices more people to get it so the service gets better.

Trust me I'm not being anti EA Access or anything, I think its a great idea, but how is it going to get better by more people signing up. It's not like the more money they get, the better content they can bring to the service. There are the content holder. I just can't think of anything else they can add to the service, it's great as it is.

Meh, this was inevitable. After the success of Live and Ps+ it was merely a matter of time before 3rd party publishers would follow, and with that exclusive deals. This is the future of gaming. Yay.

Guess my topic doesn't look all that silly anymore does it?
As I said, always expect the worse from EA. It's only gonna get...worse..er.

Why is there no Last of Us demo for PS4? Always expect the worst from Sony.

Why is there no Ryse demo for Xbone? Always expect the worst from Microsoft.

At least well always have the next gen Madden 25 demo. Oh wait...

no demo > paid demo

There is no paid demo. I dont think you understand what is going on.

I do. You get a demo if you are subscribed to EA access, you don't if you don't.

That's what the "trial" is; a demo. It is not the "full game" as many people who've so foolishly thrown their money at EA think it is.

It's a bit different than a demo. Every trial has at least 2 hours of content (some could be quite a bit longer) which is bigger than any demo I know of. Your progress also carry over to the full game, which is something no demo I can think of has done before.

"Bigger" is debatable, there are small demos, big demos, small but highly replayable demos, etc. I suppose Madden would fall into small but highly replayable

I dunno about consoles but lots of demos on PC have done that.

Regardless it's a paid demo, period.

You are actually both correct.

As far as the game on topic, and all other sports games, EA's early access will let you play only single player, offline modes. There will be no multiplayer or Ultimate Team available.

So, in a manner of speaking, it's a demo.

But, on the other hand, any game on early access, sports or otherwise, will allow you to gain achievements. Those achievements unlock once you purchase the full game.

So, you're both correct.

Is it really that hard to wait a couple of weeks?
