I really think MS put a lot of brainpower into the whole matchmaking and I am glad to see how it will turn out for this game so that people actually like the multiplayer and that it is a convincing experience for consumers.

My problem with the article is that the doesn't explain in any detail how Xbox One's cloud servers improve matchmaking. It's just PR fluff.

It is like a lot of other "articles". Furthermore a lot of hidden PR takes place if you look at for example dualshockers.com.

We know this and we don't need people to state the obvious as I think we all are intelligent enough to detect PR.

Be it Twitter, "partner sites" or ads.

What meaningful discussions are there to be had from the reposting of PR statements?

Can't wait to play it!

As if the term "cloud" isn't raped enough in the IT world -.-

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

They load the entire city on the server?

Yes, the article is PR fluff, but what exactly do you think this means? I wish they would expand on this.

The enite map is server side.  Not client side like every other console game.

You are invited to not join these threads. Stating the obvious is as much as meaningful.

Looks like a great fun game. I recently got an X1 and am looking forward to buying this game! Not really bothered by the PR talk as the game speaks for itself!

I am interested in what they mean by loading the entire level on the Server. This is something I have mentioned before where keeping an instance of a game server side allows you to keep a lot of things persistent within the MP level. It also allow you to do Physics, AI server side which reduce those calculation on the client machines.

It will be interesting if this allow framerates to stay high while having a bunch of stuff happening in 8 player MP.

Sunset Overdrive is a perfect example of a mediocre title getting FAR more attention than it really deserves because it is one of the very few Xbox One exclusives!

Seriously, this game has already generated enough press that, if printed, would fill several VOLUMES. No other game this gen has gotten as much hype, including Destiny!

While I have respect for the developer, Insomniac, and can understand why they are releasing on the XB1 (to retain ownership of the IP), NOTHING I have seen so far leads me to believe that this game will do anything for Xbox One sales, nor will it be played for very long once XB1 owners buy it.

I can't wait to see the review scores when it launches! Should be enlightening, to say the least!

Why don't you tell us what you really feel!!  So if Sunset scores big, what exactly would you do.  Would you fade into the darkness as if you never made these statements or would your opinion change.  Even if Sunset will not move X1 consoles, if it is a good game, it will add to the good game collection within the X1 library and thus be one of many games to persude gamers to purchase the console.  One game does not have to be a system seller but many good games can.
