Somehow I doubt you would say the same thing about Ubisoft's (3rd party dev) claim that Splinter Cell: Convictions AI cannot be run on the PS3.

Thats far worse than some storage issue that can be solved with multiple disks or downloads, thats a power limitation that affects gameplay.

From what I've seen I seeing less of both PS3 80gb and Xbox360 pro and eiltes at store like Wal-mart for example. Yet Pro, Elite, 80gb are still around even if they are in low numbers so anyone here can get one if they really wanted one. Now the Wii is a different story as you have to   literally wait to get your hands on a wii.

Could it possibly be that the 360 is reaching the theshold of its sales at this current price? I'm sure it will sell much more than the Xbox, but assuming there is still a fixed pool of potential buyers for the 360 to expand given its limited market appeal, could one also argue that it can only sell so much given any set price range?

Could the same not be equally said for the PS3? If the PS3 reaches the 360's numbers from last christmas at $400 and continues selling like it is now, then there will be something to brag about, but until then the Ps3 is just filling a demand in its market that the 360 has already met in its own at the same price range. I honestly doubt even the PS3 has as large a gamer base respectively, though time will tell.

I don't think MS can afford a price cut in the US. MS has publicly stated that shortages are impacting their sales. A price cut anytime soon would seem to contradict the shortages argument.

Not now but a few weeks before GTA IV. I'm sure they will have things sorted out by then.

I think you miss the point.  You don't cut the price of a product if it is selling well but you have manufacturing issues.  If they resolve the manufacturing issue in March, how can they possibly justify a price cut in April?  Why would a price cut be needed.

360 destinty is to finish third ....but as long as it finishes third and MS doesnt kill it as the original Xbox it wont be "over " as a failure...
