Around the Network

In fall 2008 Wii will have an install base of at least 12 million more consoles than GameCube.

For both Wii and GC Symphonia will be the first major RPG.

More (and more important)RPG's are announced, making Wii a more likely buy for JRPG lovers, in and outside Japan. (MH3, FFCC 2x, Fragile, maybe Suikoden)

I think it can do over 1.5 million copies lifetime if it's as good as the original.

Im gonn Say about 0.8million copys sold. Dont think it can do as well as the first game unless all the people who bought that will rebuy this, I know i will be one but i doubt everyone enjoyed it enought to warrent buying the sequal. Think Oppona is coming out first so some potential customers may pick that up instead.

Well, the Wii is staved for RPGs of any kind.

It's the dominate system in Japan

The Gamcube prequel sold 1.2m

So this logically should do better. While the Wii is attracting a different audience than the GC, I think it's safe to say the diehard Nintendo fans have all gotten Wiis already, so 1.2 should be almost assured (especially with no competition) plus former PS2 and DS owners (and some new gamers) getting Wiis should push this title to 1.5-1.75m lifetime.
