Agreed!  I was REALLY looking forward to the Xbox One before it was announced...I own both the PS3 and the 360, and fully planned on buying both the XB1 and the PS4!  But as soon as they announced the core specs, I was immediately turned off.  Even then, I was still considering it...and then E3 2013 happened...and #JUSTDEALWITHIT happened.  Even after the backtracking and "180s", they still insisted on Kinect for a LONG while before finally removing the requirement that it be connected...and still bundled it with the console until June!  It wasn't ONE thing...and certainly not the extra $100 that kept me away...it was the poor selection of games, the poor quality of those games, the focus on TV and Kinect, the "Metro" UI, the controller, and the lack of raw power.

Even today, I look at the console, and I see only a few games I cant play on my PS4...Titanfall, Sunset Overdrive, and Halo...and none of those are compelling enough for me to spend $399  (plus accessories!) on it.

Well to be fair, most of them thought price was the only reason PS4 was selling much better, it was of course naive, anyone understanding the market know why the 360 sold as much and so why the One would have never reach taht level of sales anyway.

I think thats actually a super safe prediction to make. The PS4 is currently averaging 400k-500k worldwide monthly. I think normal sales + destiny + white PS4 will put it over 1M in september easy.

The 5% actually control 99% of the market

PS4 should sell 300k+ on Destiny week, maybe close to 400k even since the white console will sell like ice cream on a sunny day in freakin' Iceland.

Just realized that if TLOU did this well, then its safe to assume that the GTA5 remake for XB1 and PS4 will be stuff of legends.
