10%  of our exports, so our prices will drop

 

Putin does this because our main risk is deflation, so it is actually a smart move.

 

On the other hand it raises prices in russia tremendously and the production quality is bound to drop in order to meet the demand.

Please explain me, why the prices will go up and quality will drop? Currently Turkey is happy to increase their export of fruits/vegetables to Russia, Brasil happy to sell us beef, milk and milk products will be bought in Belarus, and on the chicken/pork we are quite OK by ourselves.

Dumb move, will hurt the populous more, but Putin never cared about that. It's good though let Russia realize how much they need the west when the price of living goes up in the next months.

Trying to start a new Cold War? How'd the last one end Puty? Yep, that's how it's going to end, again. A positive for the US, though, people are going to be so focused and worried about foreign affairs, that they'll elect someone with some balls. Not a wishy-washy liberal who preaches the same "tax the rich", even though they pay close to 40% of their income in federal tax alone.
