that is perfectly fine and all, but to say that an 8 player co-op in a large open world can be done more easily on MS hardware is hard to believe.

Perhaps this is why they didn't say this.

"For example, our multiplayer mode in the game called Chaos Squad supports eight players traversing a giant open world together to take on randomized missions. This is not a simple feature to create."

This is what I call BS on.

Probably the cost to operate online servers are way lower on Xbox side?

That could explain the lack of a ps4 version. Where is the Pc version then ?

I don't think azure on PC is as cheap as on x1

btw Insomniac never made any PC game, maybe they don't have the expertise, nor the courage to enter an unknown market (they only "switched" once (PS > PS2 > PS3 > Vita > Xbox) or maybe they just don't want to. It's a bit sad really to assume automatically the most cynical scenario.

i imagine insomniac devs doing this when reading some of these threads online.

Selective quoting to prove your point (while it actually doesn't) isn't helpful in discussions.

Yet Microsoft’s muscle on the platform and Xbox Live fronts has been invaluable in helping us create a unique multiplayer experience.

Sounds similar to the 8 player coop missions in Resistance 2 on the PS3... sooo...

Shhh... Certain people need a reason to claim XBone to be better. Just let them have this one. ;)

First of all, you're speaking out of context, but I replied to you anyways. I proved you wrong by providing you the quote that they did in fact say this.

Stop denying yourself from the facts, its not helpful in discussions.

I think money was a non factor, I mean I think Sony would have funded this too, but they would want the IP in return but before insomniac mentioned many times that it was important for them to keep the rights over their IPs now, I mean think about it they made Spyro and now have no control over it, they made R&C and now have no control over it, they made Resistance and now have no control over it.  I don't think Sony was gonna let them have the IP, they were probably like if were funding this the IP is ours, and I think Microsoft was willing to give it to them.

This is what you get for not having access to the cloud Sony, nice job. How many games will 1080p gamers lose to this nonsense. Get your shit together Sony!!!!

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

And yet no mention of hardware... Well done

Yeah darn that Ted Price! What does he know about making games? Surely not as much as "certain people" in this thread.
