It would be in the interest of any sane human to stop ISIS. Sunni's don't support ISIS but Wahabi's do, and ISIS has the same thinking as Wahabi's.

non-sunnite means pretty much only Iran and Azerbaijan, intervention of the former wouldn't fly with the west (not sure Iran would even want to - the more the Shia in Iraq are under pressure the better are the chances they decide to join Iran once Iraq shatters, which has pretty high possibility) and the later doesn't have the military force

I think there's more than that. 10-20% of Muslims are not Sunni.

I never knew about Azerbaijan. Iraq was one of them too. Bahrain is as well but its ruling family is Sunni. I think that's it. Pakistan and India are the other two countries with large populaions of them. There are only about 150-200m of them and one third live in Iran.

all gulf countries funded the islamist rebels in syria...
my question was due to ISIS recruiting sunnis and killing shiites
i agree that wahabis and sunnis have the common goal of a "pure islam" but I am not sure wahabis (nor sunnis for the matter) support ISIS

ISIS is killing anybody who isn't Sunni.
I'm not sure if all countries funded them but maybe you're right. Qatar and Saudi have openly said they are funding them to fight Assad. Not sure about Kuwait or the UAE though.

hmm, maybe that is right. I heard the UAE began deporting people a few years ago on the basis of being Shia so clearly they have the same thinking as the Saudi's and Qataris. I'm not sure about Kuwait though since there is a Shia political party there and a sizeable Shiite population.
The West needs to stop dicking around and get involved, this is becoming genocide. Should have steped in in Syria years ago and maybe some of this could have been avoided....maybe not.
