Which Franchise will Destiny Affect the Most?

CoD 48 50.00%

Halo 39 40.63%

Battlefield 9 9.38%

Total:96

1. CoD- I could see this easily. The masses are looking for something fresh and CoD has not been delievering lately

2. Halo- Its Bungie, its got similiar gameplay. Maybe the hardcore Halo 3 players wont love it but the more casual Halo fans.... I think will move to this.

3. Battlefied- Not seeing this as much as the I think Battlefield will always be the type of game you play for a different experiance.

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

Only game it'll affect is CoD.

Pokémon.

EDIT: Oh, I have to choose from these ones. I guess Halo?

CoD and Halo, but I doubt Activision cares about the fact it will hurt CoD :p

EDIT: However, it wont hurt CoD as much. CoD players mostly look for a simple game, something which Destiny isn't.

why would it affect cod?
is cod a scify mmo?

i would say im a cod fan i played all of em since 4 and enjoyed them both SP and MP wise i played the destiny beta on ps4 and only lasted an hr before deleting it didnt like nothing about it not my type of game

i dont believe destiny will affect cod at all since there releases are far apart and the only similarities is that there in 1st person perspective

cod is about modern weapons and environments people like it b/c of its faced pace FPS competitive action and simplicity destiny has neither

It will help all of those games by raising the install base significantly.

I think Borderlands will actually get hurt the most of any franchise actually...

But of the ones you mentioned, Im going to say call of duty. Mostly because it is going to suck activisions attention (and money) away from it...

You do realize the new call of duty is set in the future and uses futuristic weapons right?

None of the above. Destiny is a co-operative FPS-RPG; all of the others you named are full-on competitive team shooters. It's more similar to Borderlands than anything else, but they're not really in direct competition since neither is going to be an annualised franchise.
