I thought of a way to make sense of a second Mafia faction targeting RCT. If there is a Bus Driver involved in the game switching a high profile player with RCT would make a lot of sense.

Wrong, and FoS for introducing bus driver.

If RCT was bussed with someone, they'd have to attack someone else so that it hits him....but it actually makes much more sense to target RCT to hit someone else. RCT said he lost his armor, not the other way around.

FoS for thinking I was speaking of the ungodly role that is the Mafia Bus Driver. I was talking about a town Bus Driver using RCT as a human shield to prevent someone very likely to be targeted from dying.

Ah Ok, my bad.

But...if I were mafia and I suspected town had a bus driver...honestly I'd quit right now. That would mean there's a bodyguard, a bulletproof, a bus driver, and likely a doctor too. Picking out who to kill would be incredibly frustrating, not to mention completely imbalance the game in favor of the town. Mafia is supposed to be the informed minority. This kind of setup would remove all of that.

I for one want to hear more from Smeags. His comment was downright enigmatic.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Apologies for the newb question, but what exactly are these roles you are mentioning such as the "bus driver"? Some of them are self-explanatory ("bulletproof" being they can't die, at least once for example) but others I am less sure of.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

That does seem a bit much. The SK/Vig theory still seems the best bet right now.

This rabbit-hole is getting really deep, and pretty dark to boot.
I'd say the simple explanation is:
1 mafia team
and
RCT is lying about his role.

What's the next step to prove anything? Find out what RCT has to say.
Let's move on.

I'd like to hear thoughts on smeags and khan.

A Bus Driver switches two players around at night. If player A and B are switched, anything that would have happened to Player A happens to Player B and vice-versa.

Agreed, I really want to see what RCT has to say, would be nice to know what was exactly said to him and his reasons. Until then we are at a wall and should probably look at other avenues.

Ah OK, I suppose that makes sense.

Well that's quite the potent ability right there. Will have to read through the thread a little more in-depth to see if there's any suggestion of this.

To test the claim? It's possible mafia also attacked RCT.

While I don't want to admit, it's also possible the person targeted missed RCT's claim. I didn't know he claimed bulletproof vest.

The attempted killer would have to be more than a little inattentive for that to happen. He would also have to be a SK, since I don't see a faction of more than one missing such a claim.

True, but the odds of a town bus driver successfully picking the target are pretty modest, although the odds do improve with multiple night kills. And as pointed out earlier it seems there would either have to be even more scum factions than just two, or WoW unbalanced the game by introducing a lot of kill-preventers.
