Forums - Gaming - Sony was right, EA access is a rip-off and needs to flop

Its a beta, what about that can you not comprehand ??? there is no set pricing, whine about it when there is.  For now its all a big test to sort pricing out.

And if to buy is cheaper, they just faking do that.  Is that so hard to do ? if there is a cheaper option, then choose that.

If they offer you to buy it for less then they gave you an option, its up to you to make the apperantly hard choice which to get lmao.

Look, if Sony is going to allow publishers to offer bad values on PS Now than they should let EA offer their bad value as well.

They shouldn't discriminate bad values!

why is a publisher trying to break away from that and have their own tightly controlled anti-consumer system?

How can EA offer consumers early access, 10% discounts and games to play from the vault?

Looks like Sony sure as hell won't pay for all while keeping PS+ at $49.99.

Either Sony has to pay or PS+ would have to become more expensive to accomodate it or a seperate subscription service aka EAAccess. There's no other way for EA to offer these things and also make a buck for themselves.

$30 per year ($2.50 per month) is amazing value. I envy my XboxOne brethren.

One thing everyone should learn is that the TOS are Always terrible for consumers since they aim to protect the Company in all cases.

I'm not even sure why they still allow TOS to be made... at least in Brazil none of them would be enforcable since they give all the power to one side.

I really like the spin: MS are the bad guys who gave Xbox owners more games for less money. Those bastards :). This is a good testament to how, for some people, companies like MS are "evil" and companies like Sony are "good" no matter what they do.

I'm just glad when Sony does something anti consumer, their fans atleast back off a little.

Its nice to not hear complaints about MS charging for online play anymore.

I remember several people standing for MS on anti-consumer measures... stating that it doesn't affect him or that it will give MS more money.

It's only a good value if you're really into EA games.

Dunno why anyone would want to spend $5 on some sports title and a shooter that barely functions anyways.

Doesn't matter why, the point of the matter is that millions of people do play those games, and would probably love the option.

Xbox One - PS4 - Wii U - PC

It's absolutely obvious that Sony doesen't wanted EA Access because they want no competitors for PS Now on PlayStation!!! Sony did not think it's better for their consumers, they think it's better for their own wallets, because if they had thought about the customer then Sony had gave them the choice, and not decline EA Access!!!

Sony is just thinking about themselves as always, and everyone who says something else is a PlayStation Fanboy!!!

I'll be blunt now. I just don't want to see EA grow.

Why do people even care ?, isn't EA the worst company in the US ?
