This is easily the unnecessary thread I have ever seen on this site.
When did gamers feel so entitled to the point of deciding which games should and should not exist?
Whatever happened to if you dont like a movie, dont go see it? If you dont fancy a game, dont buy it?
This is the seventh thread on this game of people just hating...
Funny thing is that many of you guys hating on the game dont even own a PS4 or are avid fans of either Xbox or Nintendo brands and then some of you jump on MCC bandwagon like it is totally different like "next level" different (quoting someone on here).

Which is why your arguments keep falling flat. You obviously do not understand what it takes to get a PS3 game running properly on a PS4. This has literally been explained multiple times to you in this thread.
It isn't just a simple port job to make something that was fine tuned to work with the Cell and PPC architecture to magically just start working on x86. It will always require a small team like ND did, only they had them put some extra work in it.
Your new argument sounds like you think a lazy port with no enhancements to take advantage of the increase in console power would have been best for everyone. I don't even...
iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.
Currently playing:
Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Won't discuss the value proposition since that is subjective to preference... but what could be gained from TLOUR not being released now, but after 5 years??? (you can consider 2 possibilities if you want... one being the same game that was released now, but just taking longer... and the other invest more money and make more changes but since it was released after 5y it would probably look even more outdated). |
It's very simple, just like the Wii U at the time of Wind Waker HD's release - the PS4 needs games. They're coming for sure, but releasing TLoU:Re right now, during a drought, helps a bunch.

But we did. But ok, I'll post it again.
“I wish we had a button that was like ‘Turn On PS4 Mode’, but no,” creative director Neil Druckmann says. “We expected it to be Hell, and it was Hell. Just getting an image onscreen, even an inferior one with the shadows broken, lighting broken and with it crashing every 30 seconds… that took a long time. These engineers are some of the best in the industry and they optimised the game so much for the PS3’s SPUs specifically. It was optimised on a binary level, but after shifting those things over [to PS4] you have to go back to the high level, make sure the [game] systems are intact, and optimise it again.
“I can’t describe how difficult a task that is. And once it’s running well, you’re running the [versions] side by side to make sure you didn’t screw something up in the process, like physics being slightly off, which throws the game off, or lighting being shifted and all of a sudden it’s a drastically different look. That’s not ‘improved’ any more; that’s different. We want to stay faithful while being better.”

No, it hasnt. People said its for the people who hasnt played it on the PS3 and for the fans that supposedly begged for it.

I have never seen anyone post that article.

Yep pretty much this... a game that could be launched fast, be gorgeous and fill the holes is a good approach, and of course we would love it being cheaper, but there is more reason to make it 50 than 30... And from what I heard WW HD is a fantastic improvement... TLOUR is being regarded good, and probably Halo MCC will be good as well... so they are very much worth remasters/remakes.
