Yes. I dont see how TLOU cant be a DD on the PS4 without it being remastered.

Nope... TLOU on PSNow will be like TLOU... TLOU on PSN (for download) can only be TLOUR, any other PS3 game will need to be ported to PS3... they can do that with a 10 people team over 3-6 months and have basically the same game or can put 10-30 people and take 6 months and have an enhanced version... since you would be paying the same or a little less on the first option, why not choose the second one?

TLoU:Re. is a cash grab for sure but it's a boost for Sony's machine and there is no argument for it being a totally positive move for the company. Yeah it's a year old but it's fucking incredible - another win-win. /thread |
Won't discuss the value proposition since that is subjective to preference... but what could be gained from TLOUR not being released now, but after 5 years??? (you can consider 2 possibilities if you want... one being the same game that was released now, but just taking longer... and the other invest more money and make more changes but since it was released after 5y it would probably look even more outdated).

So what your saying is that if ND took 8+ months to get the game working properly on PS4 since it needed a full rework (Going from PPC w/ Cell being the major hurdle to PS4's x86) and didn't put a little extra effort into increasing the resolution and framerate it would have been fine by you?
So lazy port > not lazy port?
The game would have needed a small dev team regardless if there was any chance of it being ownable on PS4 without being a rental on PSNow.

It could be release with the same assets (probably would take less time), but I doubt it would be sold for much less, maybe for 40 since the game is still new and not very cheap new in PS3... so we would be losing more than winning.

I don't see how this could be a better alternative, if Sony is generous and offers it up for only $40 which is the same price it's worth new at physical retailers. How is that any different? At least for $10-15 more you get the DLC included, upgraded framerate and resolution and prettier graphics.
