We get "rewrites" to some extent.  For example, there are often modern English versions of Shakespeare, should we get rid of those too?

A lot of people don't even feel a game is worth 60$.  You suggest he just buys a PS3 for one game?  I'm having trouble justifying a 200$ purchase for 10 games, and you think 1 game is justifiable?  Well, I guess you are Mr. Money bags or something.

Doesn't have to do with not being able to afford it.  It has to do with value.  

I can spend 200$ on a console, but I might feel that those 200$ can go somewhere else, regardless of how much I want that console.  

I might think that a 400$ purchase on another console would be more up my speed, because that has a lot more value for me.  (More than double.)

But I'd still like to play some of those games.
